Works Great! Apr 19, 2011
By Kevan Patten With two USB ports, a 1/8" audio jack output, am/fm and bluetooth this car stereo rocks! The bluetooth works great with the supplied microphone, and operates my ipod perfectly. The "pro" EQ is a three band parametric EQ. Only issue is the lack of shelving EQ for the low and high bands. One can change the backlight color to match your vehicle. Pressing the volume knob mutes the stereo, a great feature sadly lacking on other car units. I am not using the on board amplifiers so I cannot vouch for the output. I can't seem to get my phone book to transfer to the unit, but I understand that it can and will, so maybe my Motorola Sidekick is incompatible. All in all A great car stereo for the money, and the bluetooth is the icing on the cake. Please note, the output volume of the bluetooth setting can cause a distorted sound to your callers if it is set too high. There are three settings. Initially I had the out-going volume set to 3, and was told my voice sounded a bit distorted, I set the volume to 2, and no more complaints. The volume through your speakers is easily adjusted using the volume knob! Simple, and quick.

JVC KW-XR810 & Discount Jungle ROCKS! Dec 05, 2010
By Andrew Heyson This is a *VERY* good head unit for the price. Installation in my '98 4Runner was much easier than expected. Bluetooth with my Blackberry Bold 9700 worked perfectly. (yes MP3s work great through bluetooth)
The USB on the front *IS* powered. It will charge your device.
For those of you not technically inclined, be sure to plug in the little bluetooth dongle in the rear USB connection that's at the end of the wire. I assume this will throw a few people that dont understand that bluetooth isn't IN the radio, but a rear USB accessory. No worries, it works great.
Really didnt need the extra tools I bought as the Kenwood D-Din it replaced had virtually the same connections (front and rear were different, but otherwise EXACTLY the same interface).
FYI, the harness on the rear of the unit is almost EXACTLY the same as some of the Kenwood harnesses out there. The only difference is the front and rear speakers are swapped.
Had a shipping issue that DiscountJungle took care of quickly and painlessly.
Choose "Loud", "Natural Bass", and color profile #23 for a great sound/display combo.
